Nodal’s career took off in spring 2016 when he signed with Universal Music Latin and released a cover of “Adiós Amor” as his debut single. This song achieved significant success in Mexico and the United States, entering the top five of the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart. Nodal continued his rise with the single “Probablemente,” featuring Spanish singer David Bisbal, released in mid-2017. Later in 2021, Nodal released “La Sinvergüenza,” featuring Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga, which peaked at number two on the Monitor Latino chart. In early 2022, he delivered the single “Ya No Somos Ni Seremos,” achieving his first number-one hit on the Billboard Mexico Songs chart. A few months later, he put out the EP “Forajido,” which debuted at number 28 on the Top Latin Albums chart and number two on the Regional Mexican Albums chart. In the middle of 2022, J Balvin, the Colombian singer, shared an Instagram photo featuring himself and Nodal sporting bleached blond hair, accompanied by the caption “find the differences.” Nodal subsequently re-shared the image, responding to the prompt with, “I have actual talent and can proudly sing my compositions, how I want to, wherever with pride.” A few days later, he dropped the diss track “Girasol,” aimed at Balvin. Reportedly, Nodal was navigating a challenging period in his life at that time and later extended an apology for his initial post.
